Last weekend we were at Windy Gap Young Life Camp in Weaverville, NC for a work crew weekend, and so since we were just two hours away, we decided to hop over and see our peeps in TN for a couple of days!!! It was a VERY short visit, and we certainly didn't get to see everybody, but we treasured the time we got with my immediate family and some of our good friends. It was a sweet, encouraging and rejuvenating visit!!
I took some pictures of our friends and fam, and even of my parent's house and land. I wanted to remember it perfectly. It was the last place that I lived before I grew up, and I really have a special place in my heart for it. Sara Groves has a song on her latest album that makes me think of my own second story window. Here it is:

| it took me by surprise this old house and these old feelings walked round and looked inside familiar walls and halls and ceilings where I'd dream and plan every moment of sunshine this was my whole world it was all I knew like the hull of a seed this old house cracked wide open as I grew hadn't given it much thought hadn't been back here for a while everything looks so small seen through the memories of a child who would dream and stare from that second story window that was my whole world it was all I knew like the hull the of a seed this old house cracked wide open and I flew sad fruitful broken true sad fruitful broken true memories for miles and miles summers falls winters and springs Ruby you take it in see he's withheld no good thing |

Love love love Windy Gap! A friend of mine grew up there as her dad was the property manager for several years. Glad your trip was fun- I hope you get some important papers in the mail soon!
