A couple of weeks ago my fried had a dream that she went to Ethiopia with us and my Dad to pick up our babies. That's right, two, a set of twins. a boy and girl!! How funny is that?!? If you think I didn't melt inside for a moment and wish we were getting twins, think again :)
I had a dream too just the other night. It was about meeting our baby. He was a boy, and he was tiny, and I can remember feeling so much love for him, and my husband was so in love with him... it was sooo sweet. Only, then, as i held him I started to realize that he wasn't Ethiopian at all, he was just as vanilla as me. It caught me totally off guard, I was like "what the heck?!?" But I'm pretty sure I decided to love him anyways :) Dreams are the weirdest!! I think it must've been some sort of repressed fear I have of getting a referral for a child that's different from what we're expecting. There's a fair amount of letting go of expectations in adoption. Just about every piece of paperwork we sign has some sort of disclaimer on it, stating that things may not go as planned. It's really sweet, cause part of me (the part that knows that God's in control) doesn't think this is any big deal, cause I realize that I've never had an ounce of control anyways, nor do I want it. The other part of me (that does want to hold on to my life with an iron fist and freak out when something slips) just needs to jump on the bandwagon and take a ride on the wild side! :) Nothing's unexpected to my Lord, he knows exactly what I need, and exactly what's gonna happen in our life. So far, he's given me the sweetest boy in the world for a husband, some days I stop and realize how special he is and I just can't believe he's mine!!! We're closing in on our third anniversary :)

Emily! I love that you described the baby boy in your dreams as "just as vanilla" as you! So, so great! I'm so excited and happy for you and Graham! Ya'll are going to be sweet parents, as you bring so much joy into my life and I'm only your friend! Love you two!
What's up with Katey dreaming about everyone?! Ask her about the dream she had about me! :)
I love reading your updates, Emily! You guys are in our hearts and prayers. Happy 3rd anniversary!
You know I had a dream when I was expecting your big sister, Mary. I dreamed triplets, but when I looked at them they were baked potatoes wrapped in foil with butter. How weird is that! Can't wait to see you all soon! Also, I need a new necklace, the dog ate it! No kidding! Love you lots, Mom

Emily Murray: Lacy!!! Thanks so much, I'm excited too! We're in Wilmington, NC, at the beach! We love it! I miss you too, we're trying to come home for a visit soon, I'll let you know!
Charlie Job: Super pumped about my new niece/nephew btw!!! Oh, Sarah is the queen of cloth diapers, we have several of those cool ones you posted about, I'm sure you can have em if my daughter ever learns how to crap somewhere other than her pants.
Emily Murray Bahaha!!! Thanks Char!! I know, talking to Sarah about it really convinced me that cloth diapers were doable. How does she like those ones? I'm definitely not stuck on them, though they are super-cute. Sarah uses thirsties, right? Will you ask her for me if I should use snaps or velcro. Some people say velcro wears out, and some people say it doesn... See More't really, and it looks so much better. I just figured y'all would know since you've been rockin the cloth for a while now. Anyways, sorry we didn't get to talk yesterday. I'll call you soon. I love you, and miss you! We're trying to come home sometime soon to visit.

emi - it's sarah: we can talk more diapers if/when you come visit or you can call anytime. the grobaby diapers are super cute - but also super expensive. i just bought a few as a present to penny when she was born (really a present for me i suppose). they are convenient when you are going out somewhere and a nice flat changing space is not ... See Moreavailable. fit has not been a problem on either of my girls (they both wear them when we go out). mostly i use prefolds and thirsties at home. i have had no issue with the velcro wearing out on them at all - and i have been using them with dylan for awhile now. i also really liked the bummis covers with velcro. i always air dry my covers though - so maybe that helps with not wearing out. for nighttime - pocket diapers are really great with microfleece on the inside to keep bums nice and dry. anywho - i could go on forever. we'll talk soon. or email me at shjob2000@gmail.com and you can ask any questions you want. --sarah
Sarah! that's great! that helps so much! We should be coming in sometime in early may, so... I'm basically gonna write down everything you have, and everything you do. I could go on and on forever too :) so excited!
